Following on from earlier this week, we have an encouraging update.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we have now reached £169,360. That’s 85% of our £199,250 target.
It’s a real encouragement to see this response, and we are very grateful. But we are not there yet.
We still hope to raise another £29,890 by midnight this Sunday.
This target is now within reach, but only if enough supporters respond before midnight on Sunday.
What we raise this weekend will help determine how much we will be able to do in the next phase of the Support Not Suicide campaign to build on the momentum from the defeat of the two assisted suicide Bills and make these victories last.
If we succeed in making these victories last, many thousands of vulnerable people will be protected from having their lives ended under assisted suicide laws in the years ahead.
