Thank you to everyone who has emailed their MP to ask them to support amendment (NC115) that would help protect women and babies from dangerous late-term home abortions. If you haven’t emailed your MP yet, please email them now by clicking here.
We also wanted to thank everyone who made it along to the rally outside Parliament on Wednesday.
People and pro-life groups from around the country came together to show there is strong momentum building in support of Caroline Ansell’s amendment to lower the abortion time limit and against Diana Johnson and Stella Creasy’s abortion up to birth amendments.
We have linked below to a news article that we have just published on Right To Life News with a full report on the rally. The news article includes photos of the day and videos of Right To Life UK spokesperson Madeline Page, speaking to the crowd at the rally.
New vote date
Finally, we wanted to update you on the date for the debate and votes on the amendments to the Criminal Justice Bill.
The Government has now confirmed that the second day of Report Stage will be Tuesday 4 June and the votes on the pro-life and pro-abortion amendments to the Criminal Justice Bill will take place that day.
This means we have more time to build support for the pro-life amendments and opposition to the pro-abortion amendments.
Vote day rallies
We will be joining pro-life groups from around the country in holding rallies on the day of the votes, one to show support for Caroline Ansell’s amendment to lower the abortion time limit and another to show opposition against Diana Johnson and Stella Creasy’s abortion up to birth amendments.
