Find out where your MLAs stand on abortion

Ahead of the Stormont elections on 5 May, we wanted to let you know that we have updated the Where Do They Stand platform to include voting records for all votes on life issues for all MLAs.

This also includes a record of which MLAs signed the recent Petition of Concern that was tabled to try to stop the Bill to introduce censorship zones around abortion clinics and hospitals, which has made it a criminal offence to offer support to women.

For a large proportion of pro-life people in Northern Ireland, when it comes to voting in elections, an MLA’s position on abortion is one of the most important factors in deciding which MLAs they vote for.

We have built an advanced search feature for the platform that will allow you to either search for individual MLAs or if you enter your postcode, the system will show you voting records for all your local MLAs.
