Disability Bill will be voted on this Monday

On Monday, the Severe Fetal Impairment Abortion (Amendment) Bill will progress to Second Stage where it will be voted on by MLAs in the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Ahead of this important stage, disability rights campaigner, Heidi Crowter, made an impassioned speech to the Health Committee of the Northern Ireland Assembly this week, calling on MLAs to vote in support of the Bill on Monday. You can read more about her speech to the Assembly on our Right To Life News service.

It is vital that this Bill is now voted through Second Stage on Monday.

If you live in Northern Ireland, please click the button below to email your MLAs asking them to vote in support of the Bill on Monday. If you have emailed them already, we do encourage you to send a follow-up email using the tool now. This will ensure they are reminded that the Bill will be voted on this Monday and to again demonstrate public support for the Bill. We have updated the pre-written text on the email to highlight that the Second Stage is this Monday.

Once you have made your submission, please do ask friends and family to do the same.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
