Ask your MP to attend the APPG for Dying Well meeting with Matt Hancock

Baroness Meacher’s assisted suicide Bill received a First Reading in the House of Lords on 26 May and will be proceeding onto a Second Reading later in the year.

It is critical that the Government do not give in to the assisted suicide lobby and reject any moves to introduce assisted suicide to the UK.

As part of their work to ensure that the Government does not support assisted suicide and that as a society we continue to improve end-of-life care, the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Dying Well are hosting a parliamentary event on Wednesday 16 June.

At the event, MPs and Peers will hear from expert speakers on recent developments in palliative care, including pain management. They will also explore with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock the options for improving access to excellent end-of-life care for everyone and the true public opinion surrounding assisted suicide.

TAKE ACTION

It is vital that as many MPs and Peers as possible attend the event on Wednesday to ensure MPs and Peers are aware of developments in palliative care and the dangers of legalising assisted suicide, and that Matt Hancock sees that there is a wide group of MPs and Peers involved with the parliamentary campaign to stop the introduction of assisted suicide.

We have launched a tool on our website today which makes it easy for you to send an email to your MP asking them to attend the event. Please click the button below to contact your MP now. It only takes 30 seconds.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
