A few days ago, we updated you about the three major threats we now face in this new parliamentary session.
I wanted to send you a quick update on the appeal.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we have now reached 65% of our £199,250 target.
That is a real encouragement.
Supporters have already given an incredible £129,320.
But we still need to raise £69,930 by midnight this Sunday.
That gap matters, because in the months ahead, Right To Life UK will need to be ready to respond to three major threats:
- Attempts to bring back the Leadbeater assisted suicide Bill and use the Parliament Acts to bypass the House of Lords and force it into law.
- Labour Government plans for a major expansion of abortion provision, including financially incentivising major abortion clinics to provide ‘lunch-hour’ abortions.
- Extreme abortion up to birth proposals in Scotland, that would go far beyond the abortion law change recently backed by the Lords for England and Wales.
If these threats are successful, many thousands of vulnerable lives will be lost.
Supporters like you helped stop two assisted suicide Bills this year. Now we need to be ready for the next battles.
