The SNP have been accused of “appeasing certain minority groups” as it considers plans to allow women to abort babies because of their sex. The proposals have been branded “dystopian” and “morally repugnant” by some critics who pointed to it happening within some “ethnic communities.”
A review commissioned by former First Minister Humza Yousaf wants to overhaul abortion laws in Scotland and calls for an automatic right to termination. Sex-Selective Abortions (SSA) are currently illegal under UK law but it is devolved, so the SNP Government could legalise it.
