‘I live in chronic pain but won’t back assisted dying – even kids are being killed’

Andrew Peel’s life might be marred by daily agony, but that doesn’t mean he will ever support assisted dying.

Born with spina bifida, he knows only too well how tough life can be for disabled people, but tells the Mirror he won’t be signing Dame Esther Rantzen’s petition to make assisted dying legal in this country. The former That’s Life! host, who has stage four lung cancer, has set up a petition for a parliamentary vote on the controversial issue.
