Earlier this week, we updated you about the significant opposition that has been built in 2025 against the two assisted suicide Bills in the UK and Scottish Parliaments – and how, thanks to supporters like you, there is a clear route to defeat them both.
We also updated you about the major battle we are about to face against the abortion lobby over the Antoniazzi abortion up to birth amendment in the Lords, alongside a push to make abortion available on social grounds right up to birth in Scotland.
If the Antoniazzi amendment becomes law next year, it would no longer be illegal for women to perform their own abortions for any reason – even for sex-selection, simply because the baby is a girl – and at any point right up to birth. The proposed changes to the law in Scotland go even further than this.
2026 is shaping up to be a decisive year for our nation – one that will directly decide, for generations to come, how we treat both unborn babies and those nearing the end of their lives.
If these proposals are allowed to succeed, hundreds of thousands of vulnerable lives will be placed at risk in the years ahead.
