Earlier in the week, we wrote to you with details about the significant opposition that has been built against the Leadbeater assisted suicide Bill – and how, thanks to supporters like you, there is still a clear route to defeat it in the Lords.
We also updated you about the major battle we are about to face against the abortion lobby over the Antoniazzi abortion up to birth amendment, with Second Reading happening in the Lords within weeks.
If that amendment becomes law, it would no longer be illegal for women to perform their own abortions for any reason – even for sex-selection, solely because the baby is a girl – and at any moment right up to birth.
This is a pivotal moment for our country – one that will directly shape how we treat both unborn babies and those at the end of their lives, for generations to come.
If both proposals succeed, hundreds of thousands of vulnerable lives will be put at risk in the years ahead.
