Action alert: Help stop the assisted suicide lobby

As you have probably read in the media, the assisted suicide lobby has greatly increased its efforts to build momentum for a change in law to allow assisted suicide. This increased momentum has resulted in a recent announcement that the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, is seeking new data for a renewed debate on the issue. This is being framed by campaigners as Matt Hanock taking the ‘first steps towards legalising assisted suicide’.

As part of the work to ensure that this momentum is stopped and that as a society we continue to improve end-of-life care, a large cross-party group of MPs and peers, led by Danny Kruger MP, have launched the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dying Well.

The group is hosting an event on Wednesday evening where MPs will hear from two leading experts in palliative care on the latest developments in end-of-life care and why the UK should not legalise assisted suicide.

It is vital that as many MPs as possible attend the event on Wednesday to ensure MPs are aware of this expert evidence and the dangers of legalising assisted suicide.

We have launched a tool on our website today which makes it easy for you to send an email to your MP asking them to attend the event. Please click the button below to contact your MP now. It only takes 30 seconds.
