THE BILL

The Severe Fetal Impairment
Abortion (Amendment) Bill

In 2020, the UK Government imposed an extreme abortion regime on Northern Ireland.

The Severe Fetal Impairment Abortion (Amendment) Bill will remove the current grounds in the abortion regulations that were imposed on Northern Ireland, that allow abortion for babies with disabilities including Down’s syndrome, cleft lip and club foot.

Currently babies with these conditions can be singled out for abortion in Northern Ireland because of their disability and can be aborted right up to birth.

Over 1,600 people with Down’s syndrome and their families have called on the Northern Ireland Assembly to support the Bill and stop abortion for disabilities including Down’s syndrome up to birth in Northern Ireland.

You can make a big difference today by emailing your MLAs asking them to vote for the Bill. It only take’s 30 seconds.
