As you may have seen on the front page of The Telegraph this morning – MPs will be given the opportunity to vote on lowering the abortion time limit in an historic vote that is expected to take place in the next couple of weeks.
A cross-party group of 25 MPs, led by Caroline Ansell MP, have come together to table a landmark amendment to the Government’s flagship Criminal Justice Bill to lower the abortion time limit from 24 to 22 weeks.
If this amendment passes, it will be the first positive change to our abortion laws to happen for over thirty-three years.
If successful, it is likely that many more lives will be saved from abortion.

This morning we have launched the Little Fighters campaign to help build support throughout the country for this important law change.
We are kicking off the Little Fighters campaign by distributing a large number of postcards for people to send to their MPs asking them to vote in support of the 22-week limit amendment.
This is where we need your help. For this campaign to be a success, we need MPs’ offices to be flooded with postcards as soon as possible.
We need everyone to send a postcard to their MP, as well as encouraging as many people as possible to send a postcard. This could involve giving them to friends, family, and distributing them at your local church, community group or faith community.
We are providing these postcards free of charge so that as many people as possible can be part of this campaign. We encourage you to order as many as you can and be ambitious about getting them out far and wide.
Every single postcard sent makes a difference – and puts us one step closer to making this life-saving change to our laws.
