Thank you to everyone who made contact with their MPs to give them feedback following the vote on Stella Creasy’s amendment to the Public Order Bill to introduce nationwide buffer zones.
That Bill has now completed Second Reading in the House of Lords and Committee Stage will take place this Wednesday (16 November).
TAKE ACTION
It is vital that as many Peers as possible speak in strong opposition to the buffer zone amendment to the Bill when it is debated.
It will be most useful at this stage if they receive emails sent directly from your own personal email account.
We have just launched an easy-to-use tool on our website that drafts a custom email for you that includes evidence that makes a strong case for opposing this amendment. This will then be sent to your email address.
From there, you simply copy and paste the content of the letter into a new email and send it to the assigned Peer’s email address that we will provide. Simple instructions on how to do this will be provided in the email.
This should take around two minutes to complete. We realise this will take slightly more time than the usual actions that we ask you to take, but emails coming directly from your own personal email account will likely have the best chance of persuading Peers on this issue – and the tool makes it easy for you to do this.
Please take action and click the button below to contact Peers now.
The debate and vote is this Wednesday (16 November), so please send your emails as soon as possible.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
